Job Description:
We’re recruiting for Accounting Specialists/Bookkeepers for companies in Rockland County, NY and Bergen County, NJ.
Requirements:
-Related experience as an Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper
-Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience
-Experience handling accounts receivable/accounts payable
-Experience processing payroll
-Ability to maintain the general ledger (GL) account
-Ability to perform bank account reconciliations
-Experience issuing and paying invoices
-Experience performing collections calls
-Ability to assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
-Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and vendors
-Knowledge of GAAP
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
-Computer skills
-Data entry skills
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
-Working knowledge of QuickBooks or related accounting software is a plus
-Attention to detail
-Full-time or part-time availability
